National Xball League to Take Place in Atlantic City, NJ

Event will be held June 23-25

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Thursday, June 15, 2017) The Atlantic City Sports Commission has partnered with the National Xball League (NXL) to host their third stop of the 2017 season June 23-25 at Bader Field in Atlantic City, NJ.

The National Xball League is the premiere tournament paintball series in Northern America and the largest of its kind in the world. A high-speed, adrenaline filled outdoor activity that brings competitors of all walks of life together for one common love of the game. NXL teams typically consists of 5 players (with the exception of 2-on-2 and 10-on-10 division) on each side of the field in a timed competition as teams play game after game until the clock expires and a winner is announced. Teams then work their way through the preliminary round to earn a spot in the highly sought after Sunday finals competition where a champion in each skill bracket and format is crowned.

“We are thrilled to be bringing over 2,000 paintball players from around the world to Atlantic City. The hotels, restaurants and local rental agencies we have partnered with have been very welcoming and will be a perfect pairing for our staff, participants and their families alike. We look forward to making this event a mainstay for many years to come and are excited for what the future brings between the NXL and Atlantic City,” stated Tom Cole, NXL Commissioner.

Games for the Xball formats will begin Friday, June 23, while 2-Man, 5-Man and 10-Man formats are played Saturday and/or Sunday. There are three new divisions this year including a D5 5-Man for beginners, a 2v2 tournament and an Open Mechanical Division.

Each of the NXL events draw thousands of fans, supporting staff and competitors across all skill levels (professional down to the early beginners), across all age groups, economic status and living location. The series consists of 5 event stops that include Las Vegas, Dallas, Atlantic City, Chicago, and the World Cup finale in Orlando at the end of the year. Many travel across the country for each event, and some even around the world with a handful of Canadian, Latin America and European teams in attendance. Everyone in the sport knows that this is the ultimate stage for the sport of paintball.
